Incentives

As of the 10th of June 2009, the new Solar Credits scheme comes into effect replacing the old rebate system. The amount you receive back depends on the size system that is purchased. For example for our 1.08kW system you will receive up to $5,550 and up to $7,750 for our 1.62kW system.
The energy your Solar system generates is represented by Renewable Energy Certificates (REC’s). These REC’s can then be traded in for the current REC price, for you to receive your Solar Credit rebate.
During the daytime when the sun is up your Solar system could be producing more energy than what is being consumed by your home. This excess energy is fed back into the grid where you are credited 44 cents per unit of electricity (kWhr) in South Australia. A meter installed in your home records the electricity returned back to the grid and will appear as credit on your next power bill.
